Who We Are

International Institute of Field Studies (IIFS) is exclusively dedicated to exploration of the Himalayan region. The institute has specifically designed field study programs for individuals with different interests and requirements. The institute puts equal emphasis on both academic and field visits.

The main focus of the institute is environment and development, but covers many other relevant topics such as natural resource management, community forestry, sustainable resource development, conservation and biodiversity, urban and rural development, and eco-tourism.
